Converses amb J.S.B.

Many of us choose to have imaginary friends to talk to when lights and shadows play games in our mind.  Ramon chose Johan Sebastian Bach, a composer he admires, for a frank exchange of views on things when  he needed this kind of imaginary partner. Their fiction encounters took place in Barcelona some years ago.  Each conversation happened in a different location and, although the reference has now disappeared from  the present titles, it reflected in the original ones -Prelude at Santa Maria del Mar, Choral from el Mirador de  Montjuich, etc. "Conversations with Johannes Sebastian Bach" are reflections on the meaning of life.                                (from Dr. Miquel Berga’s presentation at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, February 2011). "Conversations with Johannes Sebastian Bach" consists of 4 sections that are played without interruption: Prelude Choral Entertainment and Fugue, Epilogue. The lyrics for this easy to sing piece were written in Catalan by Ramon Ribe himself. English (singable), as well as Spanish and German litteral translations exist. This small canata has been sung by several choirs -Canticorum (Barcelona) led by Mr. Constantí Sotelo;  Els Emprius (dant Llorenç), Pare Vidal (Sabadell), La Industrial (Sabadell), led by Mr. Josep Olivella (Parochial church in Sant Llorenç Savall, Teatre Principal de Sabadell, Barcelona Cathedral, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, ...)
