First things first

From Ramon to APAC

Dear APACs,

To write these lines means for me retracing the steps I took a few years ago and coming back from a faraway country of the mind -the place I chose to retire to and from which I have tried to never look back. My dues were fully paid then. I said my goodbyes -to my students in an email letter which enclosed a last lesson I could never teach in class, to those APAC friends who came to my two plenary talks, and to colleagues from overseas in a deeply felt article which, full of premonitions, I tried to put mind and heart into.
Thanks for asking me to make this final contribution. I am glad you did.

Just two words about this interview.

I tend to use the referential "he" when talking about what a (generic) teacher does or thinks. I'm fully aware that most teachers belong to the feminine gender, but for the sake of economy I maintain the conventional "he"  as a collective term. I apologize for not doing the reverse.

Una abraçada i fins a sempre.
